About me.
Previously I worked Muscat Private Hospital as a midwife in labour and delivery. It was during this time that I realised the great need for dedicated antenatal and post natal care in the community.
In August 2009 I started a community based service offering birth preparation classes, home and hospital visits and support throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond.
My Vision
My vision is to be recognised as the first and the best provider of continuous, holistic care for pregnant mothers and babies in Oman. To offer a safe and comfortable environment where women turn to for everything related to pregnancy and childbirth.

My JourneyOn a more personal note, people find it strange that I am so involved with pregnancy and birth and yet I have no children of my own. Much like the arcehtypal wounded healer, my personal journey leads me on a mysterious path that I see as necessary in order for me to respond to my calling. Rather than allowing it to define me, I am awakened to the empathy and compassion that continuosly unfolds as I Iearn and grow. Having not experienced childbirth, I am unable to project my own experience on to you. I therefore bring the wisdom and experience that I have gained over the last 20 years of working with women; intricately woven with the understanding that each birth is new and different and uniquely yours.
I hold a strong belief in the connection of the mind and body and the power of the mind to heal and transform our lives. This led me to study both hypnotherapy (National Guild of Hypnotists) and yoga (RYT 200hr Certified Yoga Alliance). I am a trained facilitator for the Mama Bamba Way and a Registered Nurse and Midwife with 20 years of experience in women's health. All of these aspects form the building blocks for my practice and are integral in creating a holistic approach to your care. Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened; vision cleared; ambition inspired, and success achieved. – Helen Keller |

My Philosophy of Care
- To empower women to assume responsibility for their health and for the health of their families
- To promote care that takes place in partnership with women and is personalised, continuous and non-authoritarian
- To provide women with appropriate information and advice in a way that promotes participation and facilitates informed decision making
- I believe that the woman is the primary decision-maker in her care and she has the right to information that enhances her decision-making abilities.
- I promote, protect and support women’s reproductive rights and respect ethnic and cultural diversity
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. Albert Einstein
