How does Yoga help?
Every class prepares your body and mind for the birth of your baby.
- Learn how to use mental imagery effectively
- Regular practice of breathing techniques that will assist you in labour
- Become aware of how your body is changing in pregnancy and work with it
- Practice visualization techniques
- Deepen the connection that you have with your baby
- Learn how to use your breath to work with new and unfamiliar (and sometimes not so pleasurable) sensations.
- Practice being "present" - sometimes you really don't feel like being in class, but before you know it is over and you feel great - its the same in labour - there will be moments when you just want it to end, but nature takes it's own sweet time. Tuning into the techniques that you learn in yoga will help you to forget the clock, tune into your body & breath and let go into the powerful process of birthing your baby.
Pregnancy Yoga
All classes are 60 - 75 minutes long and include breathing (pranayama), yoga postures suitable for pregnancy (asana) and relaxation (savasana).
Yoga is safe and effective throughout pregnancy. Yoga can be started any time after 15 weeks and continued until you give birth.Every class combines gentle hatha yoga postures with deep breathing exercises that will help you strengthen and stretch out your entire body.
Special attention is placed on developing core strength and stability – with emphasis on strengthening the back, abdomen and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in the neck and shoulders.

Pregnancy Yoga classes are now limited to 12 ladies per class and we have introduced a booking system.
Please contact Sara 24614268 to book your place. You can book one week ahead but please call and cancel if you cannot make it so that someone else can take your place. You will be contacted if the class is cancelled due to a birth. Please make sure that you give Sara your mobile number and your expected date of delivery the first time that you book a class.
